The prize for this raffle has been donated to help replenish our medical fund. We will be featuring stories throughout the raffle of dogs who have benefited from additional medical attention above and beyond normal vetting. Please donate and help us to continue to help those who, otherwise, would be put down. |
Bradley says: "(About the work on my eyes … ) Of course all this is not cheap even with the 30% discount offered by the vet it will be about $1000! Would you be willing to sponsor me or donate to the ERU medical fund to help with these expenses?
My name is Bradley and thank you ERU for saving me." (Click here to read Bradley's story.) |

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue Inc. is a nation-wide, non-profit, volunteer organization that is dedicated to the rescue of American Eskimo Dogs. Since our opening in March, 2003, we have rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed nearly 1000 orphaned Eskies. We are a registered 501(c)3 charity run solely on donated funds. If you can help our cause and our beloved Eskies in need, please see the "SUPPORT ERU" section in the menu to the left. |

EVERY MONTH IS "ADOPT A SWEET SENIOR" MONTH!!! |
|
With a great history of longevity, Eskies are considered "senior" when they reach 10 years of age! We have 13 & 14 year olds available who prance with the energy of young dogs but display the grace and manners of maturity! |
| In rescue, our hearts are often drawn to these sweet seniors -- they've lived such a long life, that we feel they deserve to live their golden days in a loving home. Many come from shelters -- abandoned on the street or dumped there by families who do not want an old dog. Others, after a lifetime of love and caring are surrendered by owners whose own situation is deteriorating.
After a decade or more of unconditional love and loyalty, these animals should not be treated as trash by our "disposable" society. There may be health issues; many have had to overcome grooming and more serious medical issues. But our lives are much richer having known and cared for them.
Help us give these dogs the love and dignity they deserve in their golden days -- Please browse through our list of Adoptable Seniors and consider giving a forever home to one of these wonderful Eskies! If you're a "Sweet Senior" yourself, then you qualify for our Senior Program. |
|
| In honor of these wonderful animals, we will be posting senior adoption testimonials. |

I have a true story of why to adopt a senior eskie! I adopted Sparkle(a senior eskie)..... She was under Deborah Guske. Sparkle might be a senior eskie but she sure doesnt act like it... she is every bit as active (and sometimes more) than my eskie that just turned 5.... And them little eyes when she looks into mine... shows nothing but love... Seniors need love just as much as our young eskies do... I am very happy that I adopted her!!! And I know she will give me unconditional love for the rest of her life and she will get the same from me!!!! -- Sincerely, Marketta (March 13, 2007) |
