About Chino!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 04-049
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hi, my name is Chino! I'm an 8-month old miniature American Eskimo boy who stands about 17 inches tall and weighs about 20 pounds. I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm also housebroken and crate-trained. My foster mommy says I looooooove to chew, but hey, I'm still a puppy, and that's what we puppies do, right? :o)

I'm a very lovable guy who loves to play. I like playing with other dogs, and with cats too, though I do tend to bark at them. (Ohhh, maybe THAT'S why my foster mommy's cat keeps hissing at me! HeeHee!) I like small children (such as my foster mommy's five-year old and 11-month old). I especially love to give them wet and slobbery Eskie kisses! :o) I don't really know how to play with people, but I'm very smart, so I'm sure I'll figure that out before too long. And if you're patient with me, I'll show you that I can sit, stay and lie down on command. I will also come to you when you call my name (actually, I'll come running when you call out ANY name in a high-pitched voice!). But I could probably use some obedience training, so I will be just the perfect little boy for you!

I love to go exploring, especially if my adventures take me up the stairs. The only problem is, I'm a-scared to come back down them and have had to be carried down a few times! (But PLEASE don't tell that to the other boy dogs-I would just be so ashamed if they knew!) I don't like doors, cars, the vacuum cleaner or the hair dryer (I'm smart enough to know when you're going to try to use that hair dryer on me!). But I do love to bring you presents-dead mice and debris from the yard make the bestest gifts! :o)

My foster mommy says someone is going to scoop me up very quickly-will that someone be you? Wouldn't you love to have me in your life so I can show you how sweet I really am? I know I'm waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Owensboro, KY with my foster mommy, Teresa. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away!

Please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuersunited.org for more information on me!

You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me!

Thank you and WOOF!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
