This poor girl has had a tough second half of her life. She has been neglected for many years but still loves her tummy rubbed. She was surrendered a shelter for being aggressive recently. After a full evaluation, bloodwork, ultrasound, and xrays, we determined her "aggressiveness" was reaction to pain. You see, her neck and back has arthritis and her condition has been getting worse in the past year as she ages. With no changes in diet or supplements to help with the inflammation and pain, she got grouchy about being picked up, putting a collar on/off, and being lifted. To top it all off, she had never been spayed. So here is this little thing (just 16 lbs) and 12 years old, going through surgery. She is a trooper, though and has a strong will to live! With the help of steroids (temporary), anti-inflammatory diet, supplements, and seeing the chiropractor twice a week (very affordable), she is like a totally new dog! Now she just needs someone to love her and care for her in her last few years. Being that she is mostly pomeranian, she could very easily live another 4-6 years. Won't you give her a chance?
