My name is Nikki and I am two years old. My family was moving and couldn't take me with them so I ended up in a shelter. I was there for four months and have some reddish stains in my fur from laying in my urine, but they'll go away in time. My foster mom says I have the softest, most beautiful coat she's ever seen! I'm a little shy and it takes a while for me to trust someone, but once I do I am a very sweet, loving girl. I do have some problems with dominance, so I would need an owner to be firm with me to remind me where my place is in the pack. All I need are consistent rules to live by every day. I follow commands quite well. I know sit, stay, down, and shake, and walk very nicely on my leash. Going for walks is my favorite thing in the whole world! I get along well with other dogs. I mostly ignore cats or just sniff them and walk away, but my foster mom thinks I probably need a house without cats because I have gotten a little rough with them here. I really really want to find a very nice human for me to look after since I'm such a good watchdog. If you want to find out more about me, please email my foster mom at dar24@nep.net.
