My name is Tessie; I am a 3 years old. I was a found all curled up along a road. A nice lady stopped to see if I was ok, and took me to the vets. She thought I had gotten hit by a car. Nope I was just terrified, and too scared to move. I stayed at the vets for a week to be sure I was ok. In the mean time they posted flyers all over but nobody came to get me. Well my time at the vets was up and I had no where to go. My only real choice was the locale dog shelter. The nice lady who found me would not let me go to the shelter so she took me home.
As much as she would like to keep me, she already has 4 dogs of her own. She is not allowed to have anymore. So here I am looking for a forever home. I am spayed and all up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro chipped. Heck I am all ready for my new home. I guess I should tell you about the type of house I would like to live in. I would really like to be an only dog. I can be kind of dominating with other dogs but I love cats. I really prefer female humans and really don’t care much for men. I can become very protective of my home. When someone new comes in my home if they are female I will bark for a few minutes then settle down and be friendly. If it is a male who comes in, after about 30 mins I will settle down but remains edgy. I am not destructive when left alone, and I don’t chew thing up. I love to lie on the couch with you and also in your bed. I love to be groomed, but I am not crazy about getting my nails done. I am very good on a leash and love to go for walks. I really need to go for lots of walks see I am a little on the “poofy” side. I weigh 33 lbs; yep that is quite a lot for a girl my size. With lots of walks think how much exercise we both can get?
