Hi everyone!  I'm sweet, smart and beautiful Chelsea.  I love to snuggle with my foster mommy and spend time with her.  I love to be indoors and outdoors, wherever she is.  I walk well on a leash and am a great traveler.  I am a perfect angel when I am in a home with only women.  Something happened in my past that makes me frightened of men - I bark and am very nervous when they are around.  There are four other eskies in my foster mommy's house and I get along fine with all of them but I would be happy to be the only dog too.  Please e-mail my foster mommy Heidi (hortmeye@gmail.com) if you are interested in adding me to your family.

Note:  Chelsea tested positive for heartworm (HW).  We have started the gentle HW treatment which consists of 30 days of doxycycline and monthly ivermectin.  We have had great success with the gentle treatment and Chelsea will most likely be HW negative in 9-12 months.  ERU pays for all the treatment until she tests negative.  If you would like to learn more about the gentle method please download the HW file (HW091106.pdf) at the bottom of this page.

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
