Hi my name is Freddie. For the first couple of days after my foster Mom rescued me from the pound she thought I could not hear. Turns out I just did not know my name was Freddie!

I am her second Eskie foster. She adopted her first one and felt she had failed foster 101. So I am her remedial in fostering.

I am 3 years old and ended up in the pound after the parents of my young male owner rescued me because I was being abused. There were not any specifics given to the kind of abuse but I can squeal like a banshee if I am scared. My bark is very deep and gravely and my foster Mom thinks I may have been de-barked. I try using it as much as I can so it is coming back. My foster Mom now thinks I have selective hearing as I don’t listen too well when I am barking.

My foster Mom has two large dogs and I love to wrestle with the female Catahoula. I will poke her in the side with my nose trying to get her to chase me and I am FAST! I got to go on vacation with her and the rest of the furkids and it was great! We had complete run of the whole farm and I met pigs, horses and other dogs. Even though we all had Frontline treatment there were lots of ticks to pick off. My foster Mom said I was the best furkid letting her pick them out of my fur and brush and comb me. Of course you get those knots on my back legs and I squeal a bit when it hurts. I bark a lot at people I do not know especially men.

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Roxanne jdr@frontiernet.net. You can also visit our website You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process.

Thank you and WOOF!

Freddie

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
