Hi there everyone…my name is Freska and I was just recently brought into rescue to help me find my new family.  Don’t you think I am the cutest thing!!  I’m a small little Eskie girl who is mixed with Papillon…can you tell by my ears!!?!  Everyone tells me how adorable I am!  Actually, I am a bit shy and nervous when first introduced to new situations, but once I warm up – watch out!  I will be looking for love and ear scratches all day!  I can’t be pet and loved enough!

I am super active and love to play.  In my former home, I entertained myself for hours in the backyard with my toys!  Unfortunately, when I was left out for so long, I also got bored and started digging in the yard.  Hey – I thought it was fun!  But you should know that I do tend to create my own trouble if left to my own devices for too long!  But you can see that I am a really young girl – a baby still, so as I grow up, I’ll learn better what I should and shouldn’t be doing.  I would do really well in training since I am so smart!  So I will be looking forward to that with my new family!  It is also important that I am socialized with other dogs and with people, since I hadn’t experienced that too much with my former home and that has made me a little nervous, as I mentioned before.

I am working on housetraining with my foster mom…she said I am doing great with that! But she really wants me to be totally trained before I go to my new home so it isn’t a problem for my new family.  So I’m working really hard on that!  I love to play with the other foster dogs at my new foster home – we have so much fun and are driving foster mom crazy sometimes!  Ha ha.  I am also okay around cats - I haven’t been around them too much, but I act very nice around them.  I am crate trained so I know that is my safe place when I get too nervous.  Riding in cars is kind of scary, but with some time and practice, I’ll learn to love car rides too!

If you would like to learn more about me, you can contact Chris at chrisb@eskierescuers.org.  Since my foster mom is working on some training, I won’t be available for a couple of weeks, but that will come soon, and I would love to find my new family this summer!  If you are interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application to get started!   I can’t wait to meet you!

Love, Freska

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
