.Hi My name is Scooby of Maryland and I was picked up as a stray. I was living at Animal Control until this really nice lady came and took me into her home. I was so scared being there with all the barking dogs that I was shaking so bad and just climbed into her lap looking to be protected.  I heard her say to the shelter girl that I seemed like a really nice dog and she wanted to take me home and give me a chance to find another home.  I just arrived so check back for updates but so far I have met the 4 other dogs in the home and I try to avoid them as I don't like fights. So far so good.

I have been with my foster mom for about 3 days know and she thinks I am just wonderful. I am such a mellow gentle natured dog and she thinks I would do okay with kids over the age of 5 as long as they play with me with respect, and would do okay with cats as well. I enjoy running around the yard and playing outside. I have not started to play with any of the other resident dogs but I think one wants to play but she is a little aggressive in her play and it scares me so I would do best with another dog that is pretty mellow like me. I do not seem to know what toys are but they look fun so I am hoping to learn. As they learn more about me I am sure my foster mom will let you know. In the meantime if you think you would be interested in adopting me please fill out the adoption application as I will go fast. If multiple apps come in on me my foster mommy will pick the home that she feels is the best fit for me. Will it be you?

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
