Hi there my name is Vandross but you can call me Vanny. I was picked up as a stray and ended up in a shelter in Elgin, IL. The great people at ERU contacted the shelter and offered to pull me into their rescue to find me my furever home. My first pictures show me as a pretty grey color but don’t let them fool you I am really white that was just dirt that had settled into my coat. My foster mom and dad are working on getting new pics. The shelter people brought me up to date on my shots and even neutered me! One week after my surgery ERU was working on a transport for me to my foster home in Duluth, MN. All of the people involved with transporting me fell in love as I did with them. When Roxanne met Debbie at the rendevous point she thought I had been Debbie’s dog all along we were so close. It only took a few minutes and Roxanne became my person. The same thing happened when I went to Lori and Roger. Roger is now my person. I guess basically I LOVE EVERYONE. I just love to sit next to you or on your lap if you let me and be petted and petted. I do well with other dogs but truthfully would like your full attention. No aggression when eating with the other furkids and of course I love treats. I think I am around 5 years old and I have a beautiful long flowing coat that will need to be kept clean and brushed. Roger my foster dad is working on taking care of my tail and I love him so much I just lay by the door waiting for him to come home. If you are interested in talking to him or Lori my foster mom about adopting me just contact them at aldiana@earthlink.net. Better hurry because soon Roger won’t let me go.
