Hello everyone!

My name is Martin and I’m ready to find my new forever home with my forever family!  I am a beautiful Eskie – and I have the greatest personality!  For those of you who are familiar with the Eskie breed, you know that sometimes Eskies can be a bit…well, standoffish.   But not me!!  I love everyone I meet including people of all ages and sizes, and dogs of all ages and sizes.

I was found as a stray and spent some time at a shelter before a nice rescue group picked me up and transported me to Colorado.  Boy that was a long drive!   But I handled it like a pro – calm and cool.  I just lay in my crate and watched out the window.  The rescue lady who picked me up found out that I am quite the mischievous little guy.  When I got in her car, I found all sorts of fun things in the car’s side pockets, the lady’s purse and just anywhere I could find to investigate.  It was fun!  I was just really curious about what was going on and what things there might be for me to play with.  I am young and inquisitive!

I have lots of energy so I would love for my family to take me for walks or go to the dog park!  I’m pretty young so it would be great to be able to go to some training classes with my new family. I am so smart that I will make you proud of me!  The rescue people are not sure if I am housetrained, but they think I probably am.  I’m staying at a doggie daycare right now, so it is hard for them to tell, but they say it looks like I know the rules!

I will make a wonderful addition to your family and I hope that you will give me a chance.  I promise I won’t disappoint you!  If you are interested in me, the first step is to fill out the adoption application to get the process started.  I hope tohear from you soon!

 Love, Martin

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
