My name is Copper.  Or Booda.  Or Boo.  Why so many names?  Well, I was Copper when I was first rescued about a year ago then I was adopted by someone who changed my name to Booda.  They had two other dogs and one of them didn't like me, so I was returned to the rescue.  My foster mom calls me Copper or Boo but I'm slowly adjusting back to my first name of Copper.   

I play really great with the other three dogs at my foster mom's and she has a nice fenced yard that we run and play in.  It has been kinda hard sharing her with the others but I do take my turn like a gentleman.  I would love it if I was the only dog...or maybe just one other 4-legged friend because I'm really affectionate and enjoy sitting on her lap every evening. 

Since I am young and playful, I really must have a fenced yard.  And toys.  I LOVE toys.  I went to obedience class with my previous owner and did real well but I have to be refreshed on "stay" and "come".  I think I have a stubborn trait in me somewhere. Oh...and I LOVE to hear my voice!  I bark at the trees, birds, wind, whatever.  It's not a loud bark but I really don't need to be close to other homes as the neighbors may not like me.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
