Percy is being fostered in Asheville, NC. For more information about Percy, please email his foster mommy at hendrixcole@gmail.com
This is sweet, lovable Percy. He is a gem. In addition to being a heart-throb- I mean, look at him, he's adorable- Percy is also just an all around nice guy. You could bring him home to meet your parents. Percy is a good boy. He has a very sweet spirit. He is polite and well behaved. Percy gets along with everyone- dogs and people. He likes to play hard but settles down when it is time to come inside. Percy is up-to-date on his shots, neutered and heart-worm negative. He is house-trained and we are working on his leash skills.
Please note: Percy will need an Eskie experienced home. He should be placed in a family without children and he requires a securely fenced yard in which to play. Percy is a VERY ENERGETIC, active dog and he needs both mental stimulation and plenty of exercise. You must be willing to give him a constructive outlet for all his energy! He WILL get into plenty of mischief if bored or left alone for too long. Percy would not do well in a home where he is alone for much of the day. Eskies are known to be alert-barkers. Percy is definitely a vocal guy and will alert you to passers- by, the mailman or rogue squirrels. He would be fine as an only dog but would enjoy a canine buddy.
Only applicants within reasonable driving distance of Asheville will be considered.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
