Hi! My name is Wookie. I'm a miniature sized Eskie weighing in at 16lbs. I think I'm about 7 years old. I was found as a stray in West Virginia but now I'm staying with my foster mom in Mars, PA. Shortly after I got to her house, foster mom gave me a good grooming. She apparently didn't like my Odeur Du streets cologne! She cut all the mats out of my fur and washed me up good. I even let her use the hair dryer on me! She says she can't believe how soft and cuddely I am now! I'm a pretty mellow guy. I mostly lay around the house and I don't bark a whole lot. I'd love to lay next to you on the couch while you watch TV. I also don't mind lying next to the chair while you're on the computer. There's no children here so I'm not sure how I'd like them. Loud noises like vacuum cleaners and power tools do care me though. I get along well with of the dogs here, especially the ladies! I really like to run around in the back yard and play with them. I tend to be a little shy in new places but I warm up with a little encouragement. I really don't mind people I don't know coming over to pet me! I ride great in the car! I'm happy to stay in the backseat and occasionally stick my head up front to see what's going on (and maybe get a pet). When I first got here, I had a bit of a problem with marking in the house. Foster mom is working with me to correct this so she puts me in a crate when no one's home and at bedtime. I'm not thrilled about this and I cry when I'm first put in but I calm down after a few minutes. The good thing is, I'm starting to learn not to mess in the house! I'm a little on the skinny side and could stand to gain a couple of pounds. I'm fixed and up to date on my shots.
