Hi my name is Alvin, you know like the chipmunk. OK I am not as bad as the chipmunk guy. But I am as cute as he was. I was an Owner Surrender to the Philadelphia Animal Shelter when my family was moving and could not take me along with them. I am very glad that the shelter called ERU to come get me as I was sooo scared in the shelter. I did not like all the big dogs barking all the time and the clanging of the doors. I would not move out of the corner of the cage I was so scared.

My foster Mom thought it was going to take a long time for be to come out of my shell. BOY was she wrong!! Once I got into a home it only took me one day to start acting like the puppy I am. Although unfortunately my previous family never taught me any manners. So I really need to attend obedience school to learn how to be the best dog I can be. I am great with other dogs. Although older dogs might not like me since I am so full of energy and want to play all the time. I can play fetch. I will bring the toy back to you for you to throw it again.

I am up to date on my vaccines and as sweet as can be. I am a bit standoffish when I first meet new people but it does not take me long to warm up to someone new.

In order to adopt me you must enroll in obedience classes for me.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
