I am an affectionate, laid-back kind of guy. I got my new name: Van Gogh, better known as Vinnie. I was nervous during the grooming and ended up with a cut on my right ear. I don't notice it, but it is an interesting story behind my name and gives me a story to tell the ladies :-) 

 I get along with other dogs, like to cuddle with my foster mom, and I listen pretty well too. I am housebroken, don't beg, and sit nicely for my treats. If I dont know you, Im a little shy, but that doesnt last long.  I get along well with my foster brother and sister and the cat too.  Im also good with people...what more could you ask for?  I also like to play fetch. 

 I am looking for a family that will love me as much as I will love them.  Give me a chance and you will see that Im just about the perfect eskie!!   

 I will be a calm, devoted companion to the right family, could it be you?

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
