My foster family says I'm one of the best dogs they've ever had. If they didn't have a full house already, they would keep me because I'm so fantastic. I'm affectionate and smart and well-behaved.

Once I got comfortable in my new home, my true personality really came out. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to be with you. I will rub and snuggle and cuddle all day and all night if you let me. I will rub my head under your chin and get as close you as possible. I will be very sad when you leave the house and very happy when you come home. I just want you to know how much I will love you. But, I do OK when you are gone and won't disappoint you by chewing your couch. I'm satisfied with my toys.

I am very playful. I love to play with my foster sisters. We chase each other around the house. But, sometimes when it's two against one, I decide it's time to quit. I LOVE to play with tennis ball and rope bone and will play by myself or will play fetch with you. Either way, it makes me happy. I also have this great toy attached to my body that I will play with when nothing else is around. You can see a video of it in the attachments.  When I play with my people, I am very gentle with my mouth. I am a very nice dog, but small children confuse me . . .because they are close to my size, I think they are just like me and I want to play with them like I play with my foster sisters. Sometimes we wrestle and make growly sounds. I think that could be pretty scary for a small child, so I think it's best if my new home has older children. I am missing a few teeth, but that doesn't slow me down when it comes to meal time, but it does mean I don't chew on things I'm not supposed to. I might play with your socks, but you won't have any holes in them . . .promise.  I really love spending time outside with my family, too. I love walks, but could use some training to learn not to pull . . .but I just get so excited. I love to run around in the back yard and will leap and jump and fly through the air.

My foster family says I'm very smart and a very fast learner. I haven't had any training, but I am learning new things every day. I already knew my house manners, but I have conquered the doggie door very fast. And, it only took 5 minutes for me to understand what "sit" means. Just think, you won't have to deal with puppy bad habits because I already know what to do outside. I could use some training and focus to learn new tricks, but I am a fast learner because I am so smart. Eskies are traditional circus dogs and with training, I bet I could do almost any trick you wanted. I would also be an awesome agility dog if I had instructions.

I am ready for my furever home and just waiting for your call. If you want more information about me, please contact my foster family at eskiekisses@aol.com. Check out my videos to get a good look at me.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
