Hi everyone!  I am Mia and I am so glad to be an ERU foster dog, even though I'm not really an eskie.  I am a gorgeous and sweet Samoyed, but we can just pretend I'm a big eskie for now.  I love everyone.  I was loved for the first seven years of my life by a family in Florida.  They surrendered me to a shelter because they could no longer afford to keep me.  I was in the shelter for over two months when a rescue friend in Ocala let ERU know about me.  This rescue friend found two lovely people to foster me while I recovered from my spay surgery and waited for transport to Maryland.  I love to go on walks and to go for short and long drives.  I am delightful!  I do have a grade 3 heart murmur and arthritis.  I am taking daily NSAIDs and glucosamine supplements to help with pain and inflammation.  If you are interested in meeting me please let my foster mommy Gina know.  Her e-mail addy is Gina@whitedogs.us

Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
