Yep, I am Casper the Green Bay Packer fan! Born and raised 20 miles south of Green Bay, Wisconsin, home of the 1997 Superbowl XXXI Champions. I lived there with my adopted mom but she had to move and the apartment she moved into wouldn’t allow dogs so I went to stay with some guy friends of hers, and that wasn't a very good place for me. My behavior when I moved in with my current foster family in Columbus, Ohio (now I'm a Buckey fan too) says someone was not very nice to me in the past and maybe hit me, because I was terribly afraid of stangers reaching toward me. My foster mom has been working with me to teach me that new people are nice and will give me cheese if I approach them. I have completed an obedience class, and I know sit, down, stay, leave it, and I can come like a rocket when my foster mom calls me. I am working on heel too, and know to come and sit by my foster mom's side when she says "heel." She has even enrolled me in dog agility class, and she says I am fast and fearless (good qualities for agility dogs). I love to play the agility game with her, and run and jump and climb things. I am house broken, and even let my foster family know when I need to go out. I love my foster mom and dad, and really enjoy watching TV with my foster dad and giving him special snuggles and kisses. He says I am the best Eskie ever. Although I am working hard to trust strangers, I am looking for a home with no children, and a family who would help me continue to learn to trust people outside my family. My new family would need to be patient and willing to understand that I've had some pretty tough life experiences to overcome. Once I come to love and trust you, I'm the best friend you could ask for, and enjoy all the love you can give me. My foster family says I am the funniest dog, because when I am playing and really happy I give them the biggest smile they have ever seen a dog give.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
