Alaska is a very handsome, young eskie, full of energy, life and love.  Hes charming, intelligent and quick to learn.  He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.  Alaska has the sweetest disposition and loves attention and people.   When hes not playing with the other doggies in his foster home, he can also be found "catching water", yes, he loves water...showers, rain, hoses, doesnt matter :-) .  He also enjoys jumping, leaping and climbing on the furniture.  His foster mom affectionately calls him her little "mountain goat".  Of course, because hes so smart, he can be taught not to, however, for now, hes enjoying the life of a young carefree eskie. 

Alaska is one of those eskies that you cant help but fall in love with.  He loves to be in your lap and likes people. As he is an eskie after all, he takes a few minutes to warm up to strangers. After that, hes your little buddy.  Hes also a "door watcher", meaning that he may decide to go and explore the world on his own.  So, anybody considering this boy, should ensure that he wont have a way to roam free. 

Alaska has house manners and is basically great in a home, however, he still needs minor work in the "housetraining" area.  Hes the most loving, little goofy boy you will meet.  And if he doesnt have your attention yet...he will stand on his back legs and twirl until he does. His foster mom absolutely adores him and you will too, if you give him a chance.  He is a real keeper.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
