Hi Everyone!! My name is Cody. I came from a shelter in Mississippi where I "lived" for two months before some eskie angels realized that I needed to get out. There is nothing wrong with me...it's just that where I came from, people wanted larger dogs, so they just passed me by. I'm an eskie "mix". Mixed with what?...I'm not sure, but it made my fur a nice blend of cream and white. I am cautious to strangers but warm up quickly. Then I'm a total lovebug. I will follow you around, sidetracking to see anything that might be new. I am still a very young fellow and evidentally did not have much training before I was lost so I would highly benefit from an obedience class. I am very smart and willing to learn and please!! Meanwhile, I am crate trained and I can walk on a leash okay, but because I was a stray, my foster mom really would like me to go to a place with a nice fenced yard. You will be happy when you see me run around, too. I am just a young'un after all! More about Cody of OHGood with Dogs Special Needs: ******************************* Cody is Heartworm Positive (low positive). He is on medication and will need to be on Heartguard (or other preventative) for the rest of his life. He also will need to be tested in a year. ****************************** We had Cody re-tested on 12-13-12, just prior to his adoption and he tested negative!! Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. |
