Hello!  My name is Marty and I’m a young boy looking for my new forever home.  I am a really good boy and I get along with all sorts of people…men, women, kids, old, young…I love everyone!  I do get a little nervous in new situations but I adjust very quickly.  The nice rescue people say I’m a beautiful boy and look mostly like an Eskie, except I have short little legs and a longer body than most eskies.  They think I am mixed with a Corgi…I’m such a handsome boy with a unique flare!

As you can see I’m a pretty young pup so my new family will need to make sure to take me to some basic training.  See, no one has ever told me that I’m not in charge, so I have gotten in the habit of doing whatever I want.  My perfect family will take me to training and be a strong alpha owner.  I really need someone to tell me the right things to do…I’m just leaning right now!  I do know a few commands like sit and will come to my name which is a great start.  I’m really looking forward to continuing my training with my new family.  I love to play with other dogs…that is so much fun!!    I have a lot of energy so I need to be with a family that will give me a lot of exercise!  I’ll go on nice walks or hikes with you…whatever you like will be great with me.  I walk really well on a leash so I’m ready to go!

I am housetrained and I was just recently neutered and given my vaccinations so I’m all ready for my new home!  I love to give lots of love and kisses to the people I know.  I love to have my tummy rubbed and to get a good petting!  I get a little nervous in the car but my foster family is going to take me for lots of rides so I feel more comfortable.

Wow I have learned a lot in a short time. I didn't know life could be so disciplined and awesome at the same time. hooda nu.  I am peacefully co-existing with cats. It's not so bad. Guess what else aint so bad, the crate. Yeah, being kenneled. whooda nu I've been learning appropriate behavior, and get this something called boundries.whooda nu  I really like being outside on the days of good weather. I like the feel of the sunshine on my skin. I'm about 2 yrs. old now but I'm still puppy, I'm just a better puppy these days thanks to an awesome foster home. whooda nu

I really hope I can find my forever home soon!  If you are looking for a wonderful, active boy to join your family – that might just be me!  If you are interested in me, the first step is to fill out the adoption application to get the process started.  I hope I hear from you soon!

 Love, Marty

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
