I am once again looking for a new home. I just cannot seem to find that furever home fit for myself! I just don't understand it I am such a loveable guy.

I thought I had it but found out I was not as senior in energy as everyone was thinking and ended up being too much for my potential adopter to handle.

Over a year ago my owner passed away and my sister and I had to find new homes. She found hers right away. The neighbor took me in but I was not happy there and I am embarrassed to say "marked" everything. I have to say I was confused and scared losing my owner and sister all at one time.

They contacted ERU and a foster picked me up, but she had cats of which I love to chase so I ended up being boarded in a kennel for a couple weeks (where they fell in love with me) before I was transported to WI to another foster.

Unfortunately again they had other dogs that I just did not care for and all I did was do my business in the yard and lay in the laundry room the rest of the time. I was quite depressed and unhappy.

Then a woman in northern MN wanted an Eskie and it sounded like a perfect fit. The ERU people thought I was ok for a senior applicant as I was pretty low key. Well when I was out and about my pep and energy came back and since I am a pretty big guy at 27 lbs I ended up being more than she could take care of.

She did tell me I made her laugh and she was sorry it could not work out but I needed a home that could run with me more.

I am up to date on my shots...since I am a senior the vet suggested the DHLP was not needed. I recently had an absessed tooth pulled and my teeth cleaned so I am as good as new.

I am huge puff ball and will let you brush a couple strokes and then I am off.

Please do you have a home you will share with me? I really would like to find one so I can spend the rest of my many years making you laugh and you giving me the love and security I so crave!

Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
