This is Meeko, just 3 yrs old, sitting nicely and waiting for you to throw his toy. "Smart" doesn't do him justice. He not only learned how to use the doggie door in a day, he learned how to UNLOCK it within two days! Meeko is an eager learner and would love to have someone teach him some fun tricks along with what he already knows: sit, down, and shake. Meeko is quite the athlete- just take a look at his video below to see him playing around with his Eskie foster sister. He likes to stay active, and if there's no toy around, he'll find ways to entertain himself by playing (digging) in the dirt. After a day of play, he tucks in to his crate at night to sleep. Though sometimes he crashes on the couch (see photo) because he's just too sleepy to move. No accidents, and he's fine with chewing a bone in his crate. Meeko cannot be in a home where he will be around children, as he has nipped children and others who got too close to him without a proper introduction. It's important that his new owner understands the proper way to make a slow introduction and not allow people to lunge at Meeko (which is hard because he's such a beauty!). His adoption fee is $250 and he's being fostered in Kirkland, WA. Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. Videos of Meeko of WA:
