Hi, my name is Peaches. I'm a female American Eskimo dog mix . I am heartworm negative and up to date on all my shots and have been spayed. I'm originally from South Carolina, where I had no home and was in a scary place called a shelter. But then a really nice lady came to get me and took me to my foster mom in GA.
I have eskie ears and a plummed tail, my fur is light golden/beige. I'm a real beauty and a sweetheart too. I'm just over a year old, weigh about 22 lbs, and still have LOTS of puppy energy.
I'm also very smart, learning my manners now, sit and stay look easy, but theres just too much to do to sit for very long. I'm a fast learner though, I already sit at my foster moms feet when she tells me to and I'm learning to take treats like a nice girl. I come when I'm called too...I love to please!
I really love to play with my foster dog brothers, we play chase and wrestle all day. I steal all the toys and play keep away, thats really fun! I don't know if I'd like cats yet, but if your cat likes dogs, then it will love me, cause I love everybody. I really like people too, always make friends, but I've never been around young ones. I still love to jump and mouth in puppy play so I could be too energetic for really small children.
I'm sure I'll get calmer when I'm older, but right now my main goal is to have fun and chew up things! My kong toys with treats keep me occupied while my foster mm is at work. See, I just need a lot of TLC and more training and I'll be the BEST fur baby ever.
I also love to snuggle and have laptime too. I'm a very loveable, gentle soul. I give kisses, love belly rubs and keep my foster family close. I try my best to talk to my foster mom when I want attention and I always tell her how happy I am when she gets home! So, I guess you'd say I'm pretty vocal when I get excited. I'm almost housebroken, I'd rather go outside to do my business, but I will use puppy pads when I can't get outside.
One other thing about me, I don't like riding in cars right now, cause I get car sick. My foster mom says I might grow out of that, but for now, I'm a real homebody, since the motion of the car makes me feel so bad. We're working on solutions, but we just wanted everyone to know that in case you want me to be your fur baby.

Good with Dogs
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
