Hi, my name is Ozzie or Oswald.  Last week I was in doggie jail and this week I am in a foster home.  I can't stay here long and looking for a home with a family that I can call my own.  I love going for walks and very curious of the new friends I meet along the route.  My temporary home has a few young boys and cats.  I'm fine with both but really seem to adore my foster mom as she is the one who saved my life.  You see, in the doggie jail I was so nervous and scared that nobody gave me a chance.  Now that I am out, I am confident but my foster mom says I am a goof ball.  They say I am a year old, but I still have my ultra soft puppy coat.  I'm also suppose to tell you that I am 19lbs.

Special note from my foster mom:  This dog is special.  No, I mean really special.  He has a much higher level of intelligence and human connection that is rarely seen outside of service dogs.  Little Ozzie is constantly looking to me for guideance and approval.  He will make a fantastic agility dog or highly trained human companion.  Have you ever met a dog who seems to understand full sentences?  He's one of THOSE kind of dogs.  Won't you give him a chance?  This one will adopt out fast!  More updates on him as I get to know him better.  So check back often!

If you're interested in me and would like more informaftion, please contact my foster mom, ANGEL MERRITT: angel@eskierescuers.org. You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. Thank you and WOOF! Ozzie

Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
