Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Hello, my name is Tessa! I'm a 2-3 year old miniature American Eskimo female who weighs 20 pounds. I'm kind of a shy girl, but pretty laid back and VERY sweet and loving! I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, as well as on flea and tick prevention. I'm also housebroken and kennel-trained and like to go for walks and long car rides. I like other dogs, but we don't know about cats because my foster mommy and daddy don't have any. I like to play and get lots of belly rubs! Ooooohh, what great fun! I'm a fantastic little girl who promises to be your one and only baby, so if you're looking for a real sweetheart to call your own, look no further! If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Lubbock, TX with my foster mommy and daddy, Lacie and Mike. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away! For more information on me, please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out our fosters as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF! Tessa!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
