WHERE I'M BEING FOSTERED: Crestview, FL

Hi, my name is Jiffy! I'm a very young tall miniature/ small standard American Eskimo girl who weighs 21 pounds. Don't you think I'm just the cutest little doll?

I'm current on all my shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm crate trained and potty trained but I may have an accident once in awhile. I'm scheduled to be spayed on the 10th of June so I'll be available after June 16th, 2006.

I love to go for walks and car rides and am very alert and curious of my surroundings. I get along well with other dogs, but we don't know about cats, because I haven't been around any in my foster home.

I'm so energetic and full of life. I love to run and jump high -- I can clear a 4 foot fence easily, so I'm going to need a home with a high, fenced in yard to keep me safe. I'm such a good jumper you might want to enroll me in agility training and we can have lots of fun exercising and burning off energy together!

As for humans, I'm good with my foster mommy's young child (he is very gentle with me) but I might be a bit too rambunctious around a baby, that is until I grow-up a bit more myself. I really like to be petted and I'll let you know it! I'm a true Eskie when it comes to strangers; I'm leery and standoffish until I get to know them. I will alert you quickly of any strangers that are in the area that makes me a great watch dog.

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Ana at: ana@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also click here to fill out an adoption application for me.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you).

There is a $150 adoption fee required, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Lots of Eskie hugs and kisses!
