Hi, my name is Polar! I'm a 1-year old miniature American Eskimo boy who weighs 20 pounds. I'm recently neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm about 90% housetrained, and my foster mommy is teaching me not to mark in the house. I'm sure I'll learn that very quickly, now that I've been neutered.

I'm a meek little guy who only wants to please, and to get lots of love and affection and attention in return! I'm looking for a new owner who will be willing to work with me on the socialization and obedience-training I didn't receive in my former life. I never even used to have a collar, but I'm getting pretty used to wearing one now. I was also never taught how to walk on a leash, so my foster mommy is working with me on that concept. I do know how to sit on command, and I'm very gentle when taking treats, because I know that if I'm good, there's a very good chance I'll get more!! :o)

I get along pretty well with other dogs and I tolerate cats well enough. We're not too sure about young children, but I think I'd prefer to be in a mainly adult household. (I would love to be able to sleep in bed with my new humans!) I LOVE to run around the yard, so a fenced-in yard is an absolute must for me!

If you're experienced with the Eskie breed and are looking for a loving, attentive companion who will also be a good watch dog, then I may be just the dog for you! If you're interested in adopting me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you!
