Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Hi, my name is Pollee! I'm an 8-month old female toy American Eskimo girl and I weigh a whopping 13 pounds! (I am underweight and need to gain at least 3 more pounds.) I'm 90% biscuit colored and have one ear that likes to flop down all the time, but I think it makes me look adorable and gives me lots of personality. :o) I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm also housebroken and kennel trained. I get along very well with dogs and cats, though if you have a cat that likes to play, I might chase after it, because that seems like such a fun game! I have lots and LOTS of energy, which means I like to play non-stop! I would do very well in a home that has another Eskie that also likes to play. I do great with kids too--being a puppy, I just adore ALL people. I do need to go through obedience training as well as learn how to walk on a leash, because right now I do pull a bit! Wouldn't you like to help me learn my mannners? I'm still in that puppy chewing stage, but my foster mommy gives me lots of toys and chew treats, so I never chew on anything I'm not supposed to! I'm very submissive and so sweet that everyone who sees me wants to pet me! I'm a very lovable little girl who is waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? I'm in Simpsonville, SC with my foster parents! If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away! For more information on me, please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! Thank you and WOOF! Pollee!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
