Hi, my name is Sandy! I'm a 5-year old standard-sized American Eskimo girl who weighs 30 pounds. (Though I'm somewhat of a "full-figured" girl now, my foster mommy has me on a diet and exercise program so I'll be nice and svelte when I get adopted.) Don't you think I'm just beautiful? In the one picture posted here, I'm the Eskie on the far right, posing so calmly with my foster sister and brother, whom I like a whole lot! I recently had an operation on my back leg, but from the way I bound up the stairs and scamper around the yard, you couldn't even tell I had surgery! I can put my full weight on the leg and it hardly bothers me in the least! My foster mommy is so proud of my recovery and progress. :o) I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm housebroken, kennel trained and walk very well on a leash. I also love to go for rides in the car! I get along very well with both dogs and cats, and my foster mommy says I would be great for an older person or even a family with little kids, because I'm so calm and laid back. I'm a very happy little girl who is just a sucker for a belly-rub!!! I'm a lovely and loving girl with a very sweet disposition, very quiet and mellow. I'm really easy to take care of, and am so low maintenance you might forget I was around if I didn't follow you all around the house looking for love...and those belly rubs! All I need to be happy is for someone to be close by, willing to-you guessed it-give me my belly-rubs!!! :o) I listen well and come when you call me. I have the softest little head for kissing, with big soft fuzzy ears that you won't be able to resist touching and stroking! I'm very sweet and quiet and I love EVERYONE!!! Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? I know I'm waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? As you can see I am BEAUTIFUL!!! If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Tampa, FL with my foster mommy, Lorri. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away! Please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuers.org for more information on me! You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuers.org and fill out an adoption application for me! Thank you and WOOF! Sandy!
Eskie Rescuers United
|
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
