About Allie!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 05-002
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hi, my name is Allie! I'm a 5-year old small standard-sized American Eskimo female who weighs 25 pounds. I'm pure white and very pretty. Just take a look at my pictures and see if you don't agree!

I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, as well as on flea and tick prevention. I'm also housebroken and leash- and crate-trained, plus I ride well in the car! I could probably use some obedience training though (like learning proper boundaries), but I'm a very smart girl, so I'm sure I will catch on quickly to everything I'm supposed to learn! :o)

I get along with other dogs as long as they respect my space. Cats are no problem for me, and I do well with humans, including children. I'm playful and full of energy, though not too hyper. I like to walk around my foster mommy's house and investigate everything new. I don't really play with my toys (I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do with them!), but I DO love anything with feathers-they make a very tasty meal! (My foster mommy's cockatiel can back me up on that-not that I've tried to eat him, but I sure do like it when he drops a feather or two for me to chow down! HeHe!) When I can't get feathers, I like liver loaf treats too.

My foster mommy says I'm not a "Velcro" dog, which means I'm not overly needy or possessive of your attention. I will paw you when I do want a bit of attention, however (I told you I'm a smart girl!). Generally I'm pretty quiet and don't bark very much, but sometimes something on TV will catch my attention and get me excited. I didn't know what a TV was when I first came here, so when I heard things like sirens wailing and wild cats howling from that strange box, then of course I had to express my opinion!

I'm a very sweet and affectionate girl who is looking for my new forever home-will that be with you? Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in McMinnville, TN with my foster mommy, Beth.

For more information on me, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: bethf@eskierescuersunited.org.

You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out our fosters as outdoor dogs.

Thank you and WOOF!

Allie!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
