About Andy!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 05-005
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hi, my name is Andy! I'm a 7-month old miniature-sized American Eskimo male, mixed with another breed, possibly Cocker Spaniel. (You can tell I'm a mix by my floppy ears, but I think I'm quite distinguished-and cute!) I weigh about 20 pounds and my foster mommy says I'm just as adorable as can be! :o)

I'm neutered, current on all my puppy vaccinations and heartworm negative. My foster mommy is working with me on my potty training and she says I'm doing very well for still being a puppy, and that I should be fully housebroken in no time! I'm kennel-trained, I ride well in the car and I LOVE going for walks (and I'm really getting the hang of that leash thing!).

I'm good with other dogs, and also with cats and kids. I'm very loving and really enjoy being around people. I love being petted and getting those oh-so-wonderful belly rubs, and in return I'll give you my own special Eskie kisses! For a puppy I'm quite well-behaved (like not chewing on things I'm not supposed to). I do like to chew on my dog bones, however-they're really yummy!

My foster mommy thinks I'm a pretty smart little guy, alert, and protective of my humans (in a good way though, not aggressively so). She says that whoever adopts me will be very lucky to get me and will be VERY happy with me. I'm waiting just as patiently as I can for my new forever home-will that be with you? Wouldn't you love to adopt me and give me a chance at a wonderful life?

If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Jonesboro, GA with my foster mommy, Kim.

For more information on me, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me!

There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its fosters as outdoor dogs.

Thank you and WOOF!

Andy!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
