About Bandit!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 05-017
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hi, my name is Bandit! I'm a small standard-sized American Eskimo male, approximately 5 years old, who stands 15 inches tall and weighs 25 pounds. My foster daddy gave me my name because I remind him of a one-eyed bandit (not the Las Vegas kind! LOL). In my previous life I must have been attacked by another dog, which left my left eye damaged and blind. I also have a scar on my leg, but that doesn't slow me down at all. I'm still very handsome, and I have such a soft fur coat you'll never want to stop petting me!

I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. I'm fully housetrained, which makes my foster mommy so happy. I have full house privileges with her own dogs, since I am such a good boy. I love to zoom around the yard and look at all the birds and see what's going on. I like my fenced-in yard because it makes me feel safe from potential mean dog visitors, so I really hope my new home has a fenced yard also.

I love to run and play with my foster brothers and sisters and with all my new toys. You can see from my pictures how much I love my stuffed toys. (And don't worry, that's not a real beer bottle I'm holding-I'm actually a teetotaler!) :o) I get along with the small Eskies here who are so nice to me, but big dogs might scare me because of what happened to me before. I love children if they are nice to me-I'll bring all my stuffy toys to them (and to you) to throw or to play tug with. And I'm so sweet I am sure cats won't be an issue either.

I loved to be brushed and fussed over, and I really love those belly rubs! You'll think I'm just the cutest boy ever when I tilt my head just so and look at you with my good eye and wag my tail. I enjoy lying on the couch with you (and my toys) and watching TV, but I really must have a pillow to rest my head on. I hope that won't be a problem! HeHe! I also like to sleep in bed with you so I can always feel close to you.

I'm a very happy-go-lucky kind of fella who really wants my own forever family to love me and play with me-will that be you? If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Palm Beach Gardens, FL with my foster mommy and daddy, Kim and Jeff. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away!

For more information on me, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy and daddy directly at: kim@eskierescuersunited.org.

You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out our fosters as outdoor dogs.

Thank you and WOOF!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
