About Chachi

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 05-038
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hi, my name is Chachi! I'm a GORGEOUS 10-year old small standard-sized American Eskimo male who weighs 29 pounds (which I have to admit is a little too much, so I need to lose some weight). My previous owner had to move to a place where she was not allowed to keep me, but she loved me dearly and spoiled me all my life. My foster mommy says I look like a real teddy bear!

I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. I enjoy going on walks and I LOVE riding in the car! My foster mommy recently took me for a nice stroll in the park, and I was quite the hit! I attracted a lot of attention and received lots of pets from small children. I have to admit that I really loved all the attention I got!

I get along with other dogs (especially other Eskies!) and I would do just fine with older children. I'm not much of a barker, and I enjoy spending time outside. I'll let you know when I want to go out, and also when I'm ready to come back in.

I'm very bright and vibrant. I love my treats so much I will dance like a polar bear to get one (or more HeHe!). I'm very social and friendly, a very sweet guy who likes to get in your lap and be the object of all your affection. But when you're busy, I can also entertain myself by chewing on a bone or other chewy treat.

My foster mommy says I'm a real gem, and that whoever adopts me will be VERY lucky indeed! Wouldn't you like to have that kind of luck in your life? I'm certainly more cuddly than a winning lottery ticket, and I promise your life will be just as rich! :o)

I would make a great companion for anyone, including an older person, and I am eligible to be adopted for a lower fee through Eskie Rescuers United's "New Leash on Life" Senior program. (To find out more about this program, please go to: Senior Eskies and Senior Humans.)

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: judy@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me.

There is an adoption fee required, and whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. I'm in Mooresville, NC with my foster mommy, Judy.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Thank you and WOOF!

Chachi!
