Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Hi, my name is Khaos! I'm a 10-month old miniature-sized American Eskimo male who stands 15 inches tall and weighs 16 pounds. I earned my name because of my high puppy energy level! My foster mommy says I'm quite handsome and very smart. :o) I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, as well as on flea and tick prevention. I'm almost completely housebroken (I'm about 90% there) and my foster mommy is working very hard with on that last 10%! I'm also getting used to that leash thing, which I never saw before coming to my foster home. I'm crate- and kennel-trained, but I could use some obedience training (I AM still a puppy after all!). :o) My foster mommy is still assessing how I will do with other dogs, cats and children, but I'd be willing to bet I'd be fine with all of them, because that's how we puppies usually are. I'm a very sweet and energetic little guy who loves going for walks and playing "fetch" and "tug of war" with my human companion. Because I am still a pup, my foster mommy is working with me on the basics, i.e., chewing only on my toys, housebreaking, etc. She says that once I settle into a regular home and mature a little, I will be a great dog! I'm very affectionate and love being around humans, and boy, do I ever get very excited to see my human come home! Wouldn't you love to adopt me and come home to me every night so I can give you all my love and affection? I know I'm waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Jonesboro, GA with my foster mommy, Kim. For more information on me, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out our fosters as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF! Khaos!
Eskie Rescuers United
|
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
