Hi, I'm Mac! I'm a 6-month old miniature-sized American Eskimo boy puppy who stands about 11 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs about 20 pounds. I'm looking for a new home because my family lost their house and couldn't keep me. :o( I'm a purebred Eskie, but my body is proportioned differently-I'm short and long. But hey...we can't all be "pawfect"! HeHe! These pictures don't really do me justice, as I'm truly a cutie pie! I'm neutered, current on all my shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. My foster mommy and daddy are working hard with me on that housebreaking thing, and though I sometimes make mistakes, I think I'm doing pretty well for a puppy! I'm also crated-trained, but my foster daddy loves to have me in his lap when it's time to sleep-and I just make myself right at home there! They're also teaching me the basic commands, so I will be a well-behaved little boy for my new forever family. I like other dogs and get along fine with them, but I'm submissive to my foster brothers and sisters. That's because I'm a lover, not a fighter, as that old saying goes! We're not sure about cats, because my foster mom doesn't have any, but with my easy-going nature, we don't think they wouldn't be a problem. I get along great with everyone, including kids-isn't that just how puppies are supposed to be? :o) I'm a very outgoing and energetic boy who loves to run and play. I also love my toys and rawhide chewies-yummy! My foster mom says I'm a little love sponge who will make some lucky family very happy-will that be you? Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? You can see how adorable-looking I am! If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Watertown, TN with my foster mommy and daddy, Paula and Mike. For more information on me, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy and daddy directly at: paula@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out our fosters as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF! Mac!
Eskie Rescuers United
|
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
