Hello, my name is Samson! I'm a 4-year old standard-sized American Eskimo male who weighs 27 pounds. I'm a very handsome boy--don't you think so too? :o) I was saved in the nick of time by a very nice lady who got me to ERU, and I am so very grateful for any love and attention that you give me! I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, as well as on flea and tick prevention. I've also been microchipped, so there will less chance that you will ever lose me! I'm completely housetrained (no accidents, no territory-marking), and for a boy that is really good! I ride like a professional in the car, and I'm learning how to be a better leash walker and not to jump up on people. I do listen if you use a stern voice and reinforce the lessons I am learning. I have very good inside manners: I don' t chew anything, and I bark, but not too much. I also know some basic commands, like sit, come, go in crate, give me kisses and give me your paw. So you can see I am extremely smart! I love to be held like a baby and of course love getting those belly rubs! I can be very shy and might bark at some men, but if they are kind and patient, I will love them as if they were my best friend. I really like the ladies though; I don't seem to be scared of them. But ladies, if you have a man in your life that's ok; just make sure they are patient and understanding of me. I'm not sure about kitty cats, but I do get along with other doggies really well. The only time I don't like other doggies is if they go in my crate, because that is my den, not theirs! I also like older children (ages 10 and up); little ones might get scared if I bark or bounce around like I can. I really am a good boy. I love to watch TV with you or go on walks. And look at my pictures--I am so white, fluffy and handsome! I was shy of the camera, but wait till you meet me in person. If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Palm Beach Gardens, FL with my foster mommy and daddy, Kim and Jeff. For more information on me, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy and daddy directly at: kim@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out our fosters as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF! Samson!
Eskie Rescuers United
|
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
