WHERE I'M BEING FOSTERED: Hoschton, GA

Hi, my name is DollyAnne! Maybe my foster mommy should have named me "Contradiction." Read my profile and perhaps you'll understand what I mean by that! :o)

I'm a dainty, prissy little girl who likes to be around pretty things. I like designer cookies and I have expensive tastes (I'm champagne all the way, not one of those beer-type pets)! My foster mommy says I think I'm Miss America--and who's to say I'm not! TeeHee!

But on the other hand, I DO like to get out and roll around in the dirt. I also LOVE the water! At home I like to play in my water bowl, and when we go to the dog park I spend half my time exploring and playing in the creek. When I get a bath, I just sit there and stick my nose up in the air and close my eyes.

I'm very playful and I love my toys. I generally get along with all the other critters here at my foster home (we're talking dogs, cats and birds here). I will go after larger dogs on occasion. (Can a small female have a Napoleon complex?) I don't especially like one of my foster siblings, but there are plenty of others here for me to play with, so I never get bored.

One of my favorite things to do is to run up behind people and dogs and bark at them, and then run away. What great fun! Some people might mistake this for aggressive behavior, but it really isn't. I'm just getting my kicks! Sometimes I will stand and bark at you, but I'm just talking to you.

I wouldn't want this to get around, but I'm actually a sweet girl. I'm very affectionate, and I LOVE to snuggle with you. My foster mommy doesn't think I would be good with smaller children, but anyone older than, say 13, would be fine.

I've been told that I have to let you know I'm very vocal (in other words, I like to bark!). I've had some obedience training, but my new family will need to be firm with me at times (in a non-abusive manner, of course) to reinforce that training.

My fun, playful personality will soon win you over, and you'll be so happy you decided to take me into your family. Won't you hurry up and fill out an adoption application for me so I can go to my new home as soon as possible?

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact ERU at: contact@eskierescuers.org. You can also go to our web site to fill out an adoption application for me.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you).

There is a $200 adoption fee for me, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Thank you and WOOF!

DollyAnne
