WOW! WHAT A DOG! You like that name? Well, that's me...my friends call me WOW for short, and you can too! I'm a 3- to 4-year old standard-sized American Eskimo mix who is male and weighs about 30 pounds. I am going to be neutered very soon. I'm current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. I don't have any health issues and absolutely no behavioral problems! Now that we've covered all the basics, let me tell you a little about myself. In my previous life I must have belonged to someone. I was found wondering the streets and was scheduled to be put to sleep. Then someone said I had been adopted, which was a mistake because I wasn't, but it bought me some more time. Anyway, after several weeks this woman came to spring me out of the big house (you know, doggy jail). She whisked me up, put me in a crate, said I smelled bad and took me to her house. WOW! I got out of the car and man, what a surprise...there were dogs everywhere! Only they weren't in cages or pens, they were playing outside. SUPER WOW! I could get used to this! But before I could celebrate, the woman said...bath time! WOW AGAIN! Warm water, lots of suds, more warm water, lots more suds, a nice warm towel that dried me off, and then I went to make friends! WOW! What a day! This kind woman said to me, "WOW, you are about the gentlest dog I have ever come across! Someone is going to be very lucky to get you!" I am totally housebroken and don't need a crate at all. I never run off and I love to play with my friends! WOW! There are a bunch of them! I don't bother cats--in fact I let them eat my food. I'm always smiling and seem to understand that I was rescued! I don't get on furniture and I'll gently put my paw on your arm to be petted. WOW! WHAT A DOG! Won't you make me a part of your family? I need someone to love and cherish! If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Allen at: allen@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: jane@eskierescuersunited.org. Better yet, you can go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required, and whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. I'm in Jefferson City, TN with my foster mommy, Jane. To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Hugs and kisses! and#9829;WOW! WHAT A DOG!and#9829;
