Hi, I'm Pico, & I love to play, and run, so you better have a lot of energy to keep up with me! I was given up by my previous owner because she saw a cute white puppy at a pet store. She didn't know anything about my breed or how to handle me. She also didn't have the money to take proper care of me, and kept me kenneled all the time. So at the tender age of 7 months, I was given up to rescue. Then I got very sick. I had to spend a month at the vet's, but now I am totally healthy. My foster Mom works with me every day to socialize me, which I'm doing much better with strangers now. When she takes me to the dump, I used to growl at the garbage man, now, I look forward to seeing him because he gives me treats. I demand lots of attention, and I need to go on daily walks, preferably runs, I can run along side you on the leash while you ride your bike, and I bet I could run along side roller blades too. Getting rid of all my excessive energy makes me a happy dog. I also like to swim, and play catch me if you can-tackel with my sister, we play rough. My foster Mom, and Grandpa say I'm the smartest dog they have ever had. I am very food oriented so I learn easily. I know lots of commands and I can dance too. Loud noises are no problem for me. I hate to brag but I've been told how handsome I am. I like when my silky hair is combed. They say when I get to be about 2 or 3 years old, that I will be such a great dog. I'm also mouthy- just like any puppy. I'm going to need constant & consistent socialization and correction. I really am a sweet boy and am so thankful that I found rescue. I love to play with my toys and spending time with my foster mom. She plays with me and helps me understand that I shouldn't use my mouth to play back. I do enjoy her shoes, but now I trained her to put those away, darn. I do not chew or jump on the furniture, ( I know better). I sleep on the floor next to her bed. I can go in and out of the doggy door, so I never have an oops in the house. Some times when she walks thru the woods, or on the beach I go off lead, but I keep a close eye on my foster mom, and stick close to her, sometimes if I go a little to far away she calls and I run as fast as I can to her so I can get my treat. I'm going to need a special home. One that knows how to handle an over exuberent puppy. But, I will return that favor with lots of love, fun, exercise and devotion, did I mention how cute and smart I'am too? lol.
