ADOPTION PENDING ON FOX - ACCEPTING BACKUP INQUIRIES ONLY

Hi there!

My name is Fox and I weigh 12 lbs. I'm a very lovable little boy. I like to be held and cuddled. When I'm held I "melt" in your arms. I love to sleep with my Mom at night curled up by her side. I have a dog brother and two cat sisters.  I love to play with everybody especially my little cat sister. We wrestle and play "attack each other" all the time. We have so much fun racing around the house that way.

I used to live with another family but they kept me in a crate most of the time. I am only 15 months old now. My new Mom doesn't crate me at all. She also lets me go outside without a leash because I listen very well. Sometimes I like to wander so my Mom keeps a very close eye on me. It would be better if I had a fenced in yard, so that I could run and explore without any worries.

I love to cuddle and can be a little jealous of my brother getting petted by Mom but we share her so it's not so bad. Mom also puts me in my place when I do that, so I have learned to listen most of the time about the petting thing.  I do love to bark!  I like to let Mom know about EVERYTHING going on outside. There are so many people and sounds that get me excited and I use my "loud" bark to let her know!!  Mom doesn't like that too much. She has tried training me not to bark loudly but I like to do it too much!  This hurts Mom's ears and in our apartment it is very loud and the neighbors don't like it either.  They are complaining.......  Mom wishes so much that I would be quieter, because she loves me so much.

I also like to lick feet, yum.  Ankles are good to play with too. Mom doesn't like that either but she thinks that I could stop that with time. She is probably right I just need to be reminded not to do that.  I like to play bite hands and ankles. I don't bite hard though and Mom doesn't mind me biting her hands but she doesn't like me biting her ankles much at all. I love to give kisses, noses and mouth kisses are the best.  Mom says, "give me a kiss" and I do. I also like to do tricks like dancing, hopping, twirling and walking. I know how to sit and stay too.  I'm working on coming when Mom calls me. Sometimes I do it and sometimes there are just things that are more interesting to me than Mom is at that moment.

I love to play and see new people and animals.  Any people will do, but I bark at them first to say "hello". It's so fun to meet them and play with the other dogs they bring around. I love to go on walks even though I do pull on my harness for awhile, then I calm down and look and smell everything.  We go downtown and then I get to see even more people and dogs! It's very exciting to me.

During the day Mom is on the computer a lot and I lay on the floor right next to her, just to be close. Then we play at around 4:00 every day - I run around and work off some of the energy I have. I love my toys, especially the ones I can "kill".  I also love to race from the bed to the couch and then the recliner, like a bullet, when my Mom play chases me.  My neighbors also "chase" me outside and I race around and around the courtyard, kicking up grass and dirt on the way around!  So FUN.

My Mommy is very sad to have to try and find me a new home. I have been to the vet and he says I am in great shape and had all my shots and stuff. I did have to go to the vet again just last week because I broke my dew claw in half. Ouch, it hurt, but Mom brought me to get it fixed. So the vet cut it off up high and now it is just a little sore. I can't make any babies which is a good thing because I still like to try! It's fun for me, but Mom doesn't like it too much. My cat sister doesn't mind though so I try it with her a lot.

My forever home would have to not mind me barking, because we Eskies just love to bark. I need a fenced in yard with brothers and sisters, both human and animal.  I will miss my dog brother and cat sisters a lot so I will need new ones. I will need a lot of exercise and fun times.  I need to have my Mom or Dad at home a lot because otherwise I get lonely. I don't want to be home alone for too many hours at a time because then there is no one to play with or anything. It is very boring and makes me anxious. I do not chew on anything when Mom is gone but I don't like her being gone much at all.  I would rather be with Mom when she goes somewhere. I LOVE to ride in the car with her to go and do things.  I do cry when she gets out of the car but I settle down pretty fast and wait for her to come back.  I also like to go for long rides to see my Grandma. So I would like my forever family to take me for rides too.

I am a courtesy post with Eskie Rescuers.  If you are interested in becoming my forever family, my Mom would like to hear from you - her name is Ruth.  I am located in southeast Florida, in Lake Worth.  My adoption fee is $150.  Please complete the adoption application at www.eskierescuers.org and if you have any additional questions about me, email dyanlaphan@aol.com.
