Description:
We estimate that Presley is a 10 year old spayed female American Eskimo dog (Eskie). She was surrendered by a family that did not treat her well. Despite her past she is responding in kind to the unconditional love and affection she receives from her foster family. She is affectionate, up-to-date with vaccinations, and house trained.
As with most Eskies
Presley is a warning barkers (also called "alert" barkers). They are not just "yappers"; some people who do not know the breed find this barking excessive. She participates with the other dogs by barking.
Presley is double-coated and have guard hairs that grow through a dense undercoat. Eskies can shed 365 days a year and "blow coat" (seasonal shedding) up to two times per year.
Eskies are known for their longevity; some of them can live well into their teens and occasionally into their twenties.
Eskies are indoor companion animals, they are not outdoor nordic sled dogs (although they look like it). They want to be with you constantly and participate in all family activities.
