If you are looking for a perfect gentleman to add to your family, look no further. King is a vivacious, playful, polite and well behaved dog. He has had some obedience training and knows his basic commands such as watch me, heel, sit, down, stay, come, off, quiet, and leave it. He also knows a couple of tricks including "give paw" and "up" He is wonderful with other dogs, as long as he is properly introduced. King loves children and recognizes his place beneath them in the family pack. King, like all eskies, needs a strong alpha presence, and is very intelligent, so needs a lot of direct interaction with the human members of his pack. He is house trained, crate trained, and plays well in the yard. He also knows not to jump on the furniture and even knows that upstairs is off limits even after the gate was removed. He does wonderfully in the car and loves to go out places. He is up to date on all vaccines and his frontline, as are all ERU dogs. Regarding cats, king is not aggressive but reactive, so cat owners please take note. Please consider giving King a home forever. He so deserves to be someone's special companion for the rest of his days.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
