Ginger is located in Charlotte NC.

Hi, I am Ginger, a large mixed American Eskimo, Siberian Husky. I have a lot of traits and behavior of the Husky breed. My family took me to a shelter because I kept getting out of the back yard. I am a big loving girl who is looking for my furever home. I am blonde and cream colored with beautiful caramel colored, almond shaped eyes. I have a longer soft coat with a pretty plumed tail. I am completely housetrained! I enjoy walks, giving kisses, belly rubs. My foster mommy Cathy rescued me and took me straight to the Dog Salon, I smelled bad and was covered in mats. Now, I am an indoor doggie who enjoys being brushed and patted. I love all people that I meet, and greet them with hugs and kisses! I get along with the other dog at my foster home, he is a blind senior eskie and doesn't like rough play, but I have learned my boundaries.
I am heartworm positive, and have completed my one month of slow kill medication. I am continuing to take monthly heartworm preventative. I am healthy and show no signs of late stage heartworm infection.
Please email my foster mommy at ccflockton@aol.com, and she can tell you more about me!

Eskie Rescuers United (ERU) follows the slow-treatment protocol to kill heartworms. Ginger is being treated with 30 days of doxycycline and has started on once/month heartworm preventative. ERU will provide the adoptive family with the remaining time of her one full year of heartworm preventative medicine and will pay for a follow-up heartworm test one year after treatment has begun.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
