Eski's Story...
Meet Eski. Eski is a mini-American Eskimo mix with a really soft, beautiful white coat with just a few tan-ish spots! He is approximately 2 1/2-yrs old, weighs 27lbs, already neutered, up-to-date on all his shots and microchipped! Eski is also crate-trained and house broken. He loves to play tug-of-war with his rope, fetch with a ball or toy, and really likes to chew on his bone. He walks well on a leash and even enjoys a bit of a jog.
The American Eskimo is a playful, perky, very smart dog breed. They are excellent companion dogs and Eski quickly will become your shadow. He loves to lay down next to someone and will also be happy if you pet him. He’s so soft, it’s hard not too! The breed is also very “talkative” so Eski will let you know if he sees or hears something with some vocalization and barks. He is initially wary of strangers but makes quick friends after an introduction. Due to some anxiety issues, he will be better in a home where at least one person is home most of the time. He also needs to be in a home without small children although he is good with teenagers. He will tolerate female dogs his size or larger, but he doesn't like male dogs, cats, or dogs smaller than him. We are working on his manners such as jumping and mouthiness, and he has made great progress in just a few short days. We have also seem his anxiety greatly reduced since he has been in a foster environment. Eski is an excellent dog that is looking for his “fur”-ever family. He is very smart and wants to please. He is a sweet snuggle pup! He would do very well in a home with adults only or teenagers. Eski needs a family that will continue to provide structure, training, and exercise to enjoy this wonderful companion
