Meet Aja of Deltona, FL.  

We don't know too much about Aja's history, other than it was one of breeding and neglect.  Most of her life was spent outdoors - with no love, good food, or vetting care.  Needless to say, she is LOVING being in foster care with her wonderful foster family and lots of other dogs to play with.  

Aja seems to like a home where her owners are around and can be with her a good deal of time.  She likes to be with her family and doesn't like to be confined or isolated.  She gets a long well with other dogs and particularly enjoys the doggie door to the fenced backyard in her foster home.  She also really likes that she can come back inside whenever she wants!  For her, that is a real luxury!

Aja is a sweet, affectionate girl looking for someone who will love her and never neglect her or leave her outside, ever again.  She would make a wonderful companion for an older person or couple.

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
