I am the perfect dog…dawg! Jayden here and I’m a mini American Eskimo. This is how I DO IT…I love to play with toys and tease my fellow Eskie brother and sister. Since I was a stray, my past is a secret! I was the social butterfly at the shelter. My charm won over a lady who was going to adopt me, but after paying for me, she never returned, so this cool lady from Eskie Rescuers United came and cleaned me up and now I bask in human kindness, warmth, play time and good eats! Like my sleek, foxy look? My thin satiny coat will probably fill out as I continue to receive these good eats and this wonderful human affection, but I’m not likely to be poofy. I eat up affection and in spite of my zest I will always stop for some loving and a good belly rub. Since I am very attentive, desire to please and have lots of energy, my foster mom says I’d make a great agility dog. Check it out…I can fly around the house and maneuver around the furniture and other dogs without knocking anything down! I have mastered the sit command and tell my foster mom when I have to go potty. I don’t beg for human food and settle nicely when it’s time to be quiet. My visit to the vet was pretty cool. They checked me all out and found that I am heartworm negative and I received all my shots! I am on preventatives so I’ll stay healthy and pest free! YO! I was so pleasant that the vet told my foster mommy I’m a keeper! But if my foster mommy keeps me, then I can’t be with you and another Eskie will have to wait to be saved. My foster mommy thinks I’ll probably do fine with children around 8 yrs old and up. She doesn’t have young ones. I am crate trained and ride fairly well in the car. I’m happy, young, energetic, trainable, sensitive, and can be all that you want to train me to be! If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Karen at karen.salem@sbcglobal.net. You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. I'm staying in Northeast OH until my new family comes along! Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). There is an adoption fee required of $200, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF!
