Henry is a 5-year-old American Eskimo Dog that is approximately 17lbs and is currently located in San Diego, CA. He is in excellent health.
He is a very loving, energetic boy who loves walks, playing with his toys and can do many tricks! Dancing is his favorite!
While he gets along with other dogs, having another male dog (particularly if they are territorial) may cause him to mark. He would do best with either a female dog or dogs or better yet as an only dog--where he can be #1!
He is very loving of his family, but will definitely choose one person that will be his #1.
He is OK with older children as long as they are respectful of him, but he does not like running or fast movements (no matter your age) he will bark loudly, jump and may even nip. This behavior of running and quick movements tends to occur more with small children, so for that reason, I would like to warn of this.
He is very vocal and protective of his home; you will always know when someone is coming to the door or outside the house. Especially if it someone he doesn’t know. He will quiet down once he realizes it’s someone familiar. If you live near a busy street where people walk by a lot, he will be sure to let everyone know not to come too close to your house.
He has never enjoyed car rides. He absolutely loves getting to wherever you are going, but during the entirety of the car ride he will be very stressed.
