I have an adoption pending!
Hi, my name is Angel. I'm a little toy eskie and like most little guys, I'm very active. I love to play and run around. I do get along with most other dogs and cats. Like most eskies, I do bark at strangers. But after a while I warm up to people and want to play and play and play ... did I say that I like to play? I love to play fetch and I'm full of energy. I'm pretty smart too. I have a big vocabulary (wow, that's a big word too!). I know fetch, sit, Baby (my favorite toy!), upstairs, ride (in the car) nite nite (bedtime) and my name "Angel". I ride in the car well, and I love to be chauffeured around in luxury ... that's why I like to sit in the back seat while you drive. I do have to tell you about a few minor problems ... I tested positive for Lyme Disease. If I have a reoccurence, I am easily treated with an inexpensive antibiotic. Also I have had two seizures in the past 15 months. This can also easily be controlled through inexpensive medication. But at this point since it's only happened twice in the past 15 months, nothing needs to be done because it may never happen again. I'm also a little sensitive around my tail. It might have been broken in the past and I'm a little shy if anyone tries to get near it. That's why I'm probably best in a home without young children. Older ones are ok if they are taught how to be around me. If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Cheryl at eskiefoster@verizon.net. You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). There is an adoption fee required, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF!
